In todays competetive world  people with a career portfolio will gain the upper hand over their competitors in the jobs market.

A career portfolio not only allows you to gain valuable insight into your own strengths, but also enables you to present real evidence to your present or future employer that clearly demonstrates your skills, experience and knowledge gained from different aspects of work and  life.

An invaluable tool in helping to secure employment or promotion a career portfolio minimises the possibility of leaving out important aspects of your experience, character and accomplishments. In the spirit of life long learning a career portfolio will enable you to grow in confidence as you begin to understand how many skills you have developed over time from work experience, and that can also be transferred into the workplace. from other life experience, such as voluntary work or other.

Building a Personal Career Portfolio is a level 2 core unit awarded by NOCN, which broadly equates to GCSE or NVQ level 2 standards. It carries with it a credit rating of 3 for the unit and can contribute towards a total or 24 units which is the required number of credits to achieve a Level 2 Award in Progression.  This unit can be purchased as assessed or non assessed.
